Since the beginning of 2026, our journey has been marked by purposeful engagement, strategic partnerships and fully embarking on this Pan-African pathway. In July, E.Y.E Foundation Africa was selected as a winning project at the SAEIS 2026 Investment Arena(opens in new tab), a Southern African platform that identifies and accelerates bankable eco-infrastructure ventures. An independent investor panel recognised our scalable model that combines sustainable finance, digital infrastructure and education to improve learning outcomes across Africa.
- Month: Januaryengagements with Zimbabwe's Ministry of ICT and Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, establishing alignment with national priorities.
- Month: Februarystrategic planning session to refine our roadmap.
- Month: Marchpartnership discussions with Arrupe Jesuit University, strengthening collaboration within the education and innovation ecosystem; positive TechZim review(opens in new tab) of the E.Y.E platform.
- Month: Aprilobtained endorsement for the EYE Laptop from the Ministry of ICT Zimbabwe and the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education; signed a Memorandum of Agreement with ECOZI, marking a key step toward implementation.
- Month: Mayestablished contact with implementing partners in Malawi and Kenya, opening the door to cross-border expansion.
- Month: Juneattended the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education Zimbabwe awards, deepening our relationship with the country's education leadership.
- Month: JulyE.Y.E Foundation Africa selected as a winning project at the SAEIS 2026 Investment Arena(opens in new tab) in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and officially submitted its application for the Global EdTech Prize by T4 Education(opens in new tab).

Too often, the conversation has been about providing any device, rather than the right device. A laptop that can't run today's educational platforms, cloud collaboration or AI tools holds learners back instead of moving them forward.
And one-time funding alone doesn't scale. Sustainable impact requires sustainable financing, and an ecosystem that keeps growing long after the first device is delivered.
